Movies in the Village showing “Ferdinand” on March 16

Monday, March 5 2018 12:58 PM

Join the Colleyville community for an outdoor screening of the animated family film “Ferdinand” on Friday, March 16.

The city shows a movie at sunset just outside City Hall, 100 Main Street, once a quarter as part of the Movies in the Village Event. This event invites families, friends, and neighbors to come together and enjoy a free movie outdoors.

We'll open the field for chairs and blankets at 6:30 p.m. with music and the movie will start when the sun goes down at 7:45 p.m. So Cal Tacos food truck will be parked and serving beginning at 6:45 p.m. City staff will serve popcorn for free, while supplies last.

Ferdinand (John Cena) is a giant bull with a big heart. After being mistaken for a dangerous beast and torn from his home, he rallies a misfit team of friends for the ultimate adventure to return to his family. Based on the classic children’s book, Ferdinand proves you can’t judge a bull by its cover!

The film is not yet available on DVD and it was nominated for Best Animated Feature at the Academy Awards.

Tell your friends and family you’re going on the Facebook event page.
