CWD, Colleyville’s trash and recycling service provider, will run special collection routes to recycle bagged leaves starting in November. The special days are Saturday, Nov. 21, Dec. 5, Dec. 19, and Jan. 2. 

The collections begin at 10 a.m. to allow additional time for residents to rake and bag leaves. CWD will also pick up and recycle Christmas trees on the special collection day in January. Just remember to remove all decorations, tinsel, and the tree stand.

To participate, residents just need to set out leaves bagged in brown paper lawn bags on the designated collection days. CWD will still collect leaves in plastic bags set out on regular garbage collection days but these will just go to the landfill. If residents set out craft bags for leaf recycling a few days early CWD, will leave them for the Saturday collections. With that in mind, residents should be aware of and comply with their Homeowner Association’s policies.

Please note that regular rear-load garbage trucks will be used for these special recycling collection days and leaves will go to the organic recycling center.
