Animal Services provides assistance responding to stray animal complaints, investigating dangerous animals, investigating animal bites, impoundments, adoptions, barking dog complaints, trapping nuisance wildlife, loose livestock, carcass removal, and ordinance enforcement. Animal Services is dedicated to helping protect the health and safety of people and animals in our community.

Ordinance Enforcement

Animal Services investigates all animal-related complaints. In cases where an ordinance violation has occurred, the animal control officer may issue a citation. To report an animal complaint or an abuse/neglect case, call 817.743.4522.

Animal Traps

Upon request, Regional Animal Services has traps that can be loaned free of charge to residents for removal of wild and domestic animals. Any person who traps any animal in a non-city issued trap can choose to have the trap emptied by the on duty animal service officer for a fee of $30.00 payable only in the form of credit card or cash.
