The Colleyville Police Department is one step closer to achieving national accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement (CALEA). Assessors conducted their initial assessment and determined the Police Department is in compliance with the 181 standards required for Tier 1 Accreditation and will be moving on to an on-site assessment scheduled in August.

As part of the assessment, members of the community are invited to offer comments at a public information session on August 9 at 5:30 p.m. The session will be conducted at Colleyville City Hall in the Executive Conference Room located on the 3rd floor. Attendee comments are limited to 10 minutes and must address the agency's ability to comply with CALEA Standards. For more information, please see press release.
