The Colleyville Economic Development Corporation Board was established from the August 10, 1996 vote for the additional one-half cent sales tax for the 4B economic development corporation under the State of Texas statutes. The ballot language authorized the one-half cent sales and use tax to provide for "parks and parks facilities, a library, a community center, open space improvements, and other facilities and improvements only as authorized by Section 4B of Article 5190.6, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, as amended." Annually, the Board develops and approves an Economic Development Capital Improvement Program (EDCIP) consisting of projects authorized by the 1996 vote. The Board consists of four Councilmembers and three citizens.
