The Texas Public Information Act gives the public the right to request access to government information. Requests for public information must be submitted in writing to the City Secretary's Office —an email or fax transmission will meet this requirement. It is important to note that requests for public information must ask for records or information already in existence. The act does not require a governmental body to create new information, do legal research, or to answer questions. A full explanation of the Texas Public Information Act, including exclusions to the act, is available on the Texas Attorney General website.

The form below was created to assist those asking for public information through the City of Colleyville. However, it is not necessary or required to submit your request for public information on this form. It is provided only for your convenience.

If you are seeking information regarding zoning, geography, or land use, you may find the interactive Geographical Information System (GIS ) helpful.  You will have to agree to the terms by clicking in the middle of the map.  You may access the GIS map here.
