Support for Adequate Fire & Emergency Response (SAFER) Grants
If you own an existing commercial or mixed use building in Colleyville, you may be eligible for up to $50,000 of grant funding to help offset the cost of installing a fire suppression system.
This grant provides up to a 50/50 match of funds for costs associated with obtaining a functional sprinkler system for fire suppression.
How does it work?
1. Meet with City Staff
Determine if your business is eligible for the grant by contacting Assistant City Manager Adrienne Lothery. She will discuss project details with you and provide guidance on completing an application.
2. Submit an Application
Locate and download a SAFER grant application online at Colleyville.com/SAFER. Submit a
completed form for review and wait for approval from the City of Colleyville.
3. Apply for the Permits
Once approved, the building owner or contractor must apply for and complete the required process and secure approval and

Following approval from the City and receiving appropriate permits for the project, complete the fire suppression installation work.
5. Receive Grant Money
Once the fire suppression system is installed and working, a member of the Colleyville Fire Department will conduct an inspection. Once the system has satisfactorily passed inspection and testing, the City will issue the grant money.
