The Colleyville Citizens Fire Academy (CCFA) offers residents a unique opportunity to learn about the Fire Department directly from our firefighters. This immersive and participatory educational experience is designed to educate citizens on various aspects of firefighting and the operations of the Fire Department.

What You'll Learn

Participants will gain insight into several key areas, including:
  • Behind-the-Scenes Station Tour: Get an exclusive look at the inner workings of our fire station.

  • Fire Basics: Understand the fundamentals of fire behavior and firefighting techniques.

  • Fire Scene Operations: Learn about the strategies and tactics used during fire suppression efforts.

  • EMS and Medical Operations: Discover how emergency medical services are integrated into the Fire Department's responsibilities.

  • Hazardous Materials Response Tactics: Explore the methods used to handle hazardous materials incidents.

  • Aero-Medical Operations: Gain knowledge about the role of air medical services in emergency response.

Participation Requirements

  • Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Residency/Employment: Must live or work in Colleyville.

Additional Information

  • Cost: Free of charge.
  • Capacity: Limited to 25 participants.
  • Amenities: Lunch will be provided.
Graduates of the Citizen Fire Academy have the opportunity to join the Colleyville Citizens Fire Academy Alumni Association (CCFAAA). This group supports the Fire Department by providing essential relief during and after a fire and other prolonged events.
