Stormwater Pollution is the different harmful substances that enter the storm drain system. These can damage water sources and affect animal and human health.

After a storm, stormwater and the pollutants it picks up get sent to the nearest storm drain or channel so that our streets don’t flood. But that means that any pollutant on the street gets carried to our water bodies – streams, creeks, lakes or rivers.

To keep our stormwater safe and clean, the City of Colleyville complies with all State and Federal regulations concerning stormwater.  This includes:

The Clean Water ActMunicipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Discharge regulations; and
Texas Commission on Environmental Quality requirements.
