CWD, garbage, recycling,

Place all trash and recyclable items out no later than 7 a.m. for pickup between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on your service days. Please ensure the trash receptacles and the recycle cart are separated by at least three feet, and three feet away from obstacles such as mailboxes, cars, fences, gas meters, and drainage ditches.

Trash will be collected twice a week. Household trash may be placed in customer-owned cans or disposable bags or boxes.

Weight specifications: When filled, containers may not weigh more than 50 lbs. Colleyville residents do not have free access to any area landfills. Dumping charges are based on the weight or size of the load and will vary from site to site. Disposal of biodegradable items (tree limbs and brush) may be less expensive if taken to an area composter.

Bulky Waste & Brush

Bulky waste and brush will be collected on your regular trash pickup days. You are limited to four (4) cubic yards of bulky waste & loose brush per collection. Tied and bundled brush may be set out in unlimited quantities. Place all bulky waste and brush items next to your trash receptacle no later than 7:00 a.m. on your designated trash pickup days.

For loads that exceed the acceptable limit or single items that weigh more than 150 lbs., please call CWD for a pick-up price quote. IMPORTANT NOTE: Federal law prohibits collection of air conditioner, refrigerator or freezer units unless certification is provided that the CFCs have been removed by a certified technician.

Please note, 1 cubic yard is equivalent to 1 washing machine.

Seasonal Leaf Pick-Up

leaf recycling

2024 Collection dates listed below.

CWD, Colleyville’s trash and recycling service provider, will run special collection routes to recycle bagged leaves starting in November. These dates include:

November 23, 2024
December 7, 2024
December 14, 2024
December 21, 2024
January 4, 2025

The collections begin at 8 a.m. CWD will also pick up and recycle Christmas trees on the special collection day in January. Residents are asked to not enclose the tree in a plastic sack or bag and to remove all tinsel, stands, and tree decorations.

To participate, residents just need to set out leaves on the designated collection days. CWD will recycle leaves in any bag; either paper lawn craft bag or plastic bag. If leaf bags are set out prior to the Saturday collections, residents are asked to place leaf bags separately from household trash (to ensure household trash is not missed for regular service). Regular rear-load garbage trucks will be used for these special collection days. With that in mind, residents should be aware of and comply with their Homeowner Association’s policies.
