The Colleyville Fire Department is offering a class that covers hands-only CPR as well as instruction on how to help in a bleeding emergency.
Today we live in a world where life-threatening events are becoming increasingly more frequent. Massive bleeding from any cause, including an active shooter, a building or structural collapse, or a vehicle crash, where a response is delayed can result in death. Similar to how CPR is taught, the Colleyville Fire Department teaches proper bleeding control techniques, including dressings, tourniquets and using hands to apply pressure.
Individuals who are trained in Stop the Bleed procedures and hands-only CPR are able to act immediately and can often save lives.
This training will provide you with the essential skills that may save the life of someone in need of emergency services. The training is not a certification course.
