Have you ever wanted to know more about how your police department operates? The Colleyville Citizens' Police Academy is a 15-week program, open to Colleyville residents and business owners, designed to acquaint you with the roles and responsibilities within the Police Department and help us learn from you how to better serve the community.

Weekly three-hour sessions cover a range of topics including patrol, criminal investigations, traffic stops, crime scenes, and community policing. You will learn and experience many exciting things including how to process a crime scene, a ride along with an officer, and how K9 units and bomb squads work.

The course concludes with a graduation banquet for you and your family. Upon graduation, participants can join the Colleyville Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (CCCPAA) and/or Citizens on Patrol (COP).
